February 14th is just around the corner. For some ladies, it is going to be a day filled with romance and bliss. While some ladies are dreading the day because they know that they will be alone this year. And the fact that social media will be filled with love drenched valentine messages and shopping malls will be decorated with red Valentine paraphernalia only increases their dread tenfold.
It can be hard spending Valentine’s day as a single lady, but it does not have to be; It depends on how you look at the situation. Firstly, if you are single, then you do not get to spend any money buying gifts for any significant other, so that’s a plus. Yay!!! Secondly, you get to spend the day doing exactly what you want to do. And the great part is that Valentine’s day is on a Tuesday, a workday, so you only have the evening to fill up. So, we have come up with five ways that you can spend Valentine’s evening at home, if you do not feel like spending the evening out. And if you are worried because your table at the office will be the only one devoid of cakes, chocolate and flowers, well you can just order some and send them to yourself. No one will know, we promise!!!
1) SERIES, PIZZA AND WINE
You can spend the evening catching up on all your favourite series (both old and new) with a massive carton of pizza on your lap and your favourite glass of wine by your side.

2) DINNER WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
You can cook a lovely dinner and then invite your single friends and family members to your house. If you are worried that you wouldn’t have enough time, you can always buy the ingredients on Saturday and Sunday and prep them, so that cooking on Tuesday evening wouldn’t be that difficult.
3) PAMPER SESSION AND CHAMPAGNE
After a quick dinner, you can take the evening to give your skin, hair and nails all the love it deserves. Light up some scented candles and give yourself a facial, a hair wash, a manicure, a pedicure and a full body scrub. You can end the evening with a hot bubble bath while listening to your favourite record and sipping on a glass of champagne.
4) MOVIES AND CHINESE
You can watch your two favourite movies of all time, while chowing down on your favourite Chinese food. If your favorite movies are all romance movies, and you don’t want to get emotional, you can catch up on all the comics turned movies that you have not watched. And when you are done with the Chinese food, just pop that packet of microwaveable popcorn into the oven!
